Lost series finale
So the Lost finale is over and I guess I am not the only one who feels, that he was cheated.
After six years of watching something, what I (and many others) thought was a science fiction or mystery, we are told by its creator Damon Lidelof that Lost has always been a LOVE STORY! Love fracking story? Excuse me?
OK, in this case I would like to add a better summary - crappy cheating irracional religious soap opera. Hell yeah!
Was it at least good soap opera? According to people whose profile photo on facebook consist of two people, or in other words: married christian couples, it was great. According to me, it was a horrible piece of trash. Even if everyone was naked (except Hurley) wouldn't help.
But there was one very interesting thing and it was Losts creators and its viewers opinion on good and evil.
Let me do a quick summary:
1.The representant of so called "good" is a total dumbass, who does what he is told without any questions and doesn't have problems with mass murder and all kinds of manipulation, during the process of "doing good" (he is responsible for the deaths of lot of people including Dharma, people who didn't survived Oceaninc 815 etc.)
2.The representant of so called "evil" is on the other hand intelligent guy and all he is chasing are answers and freedom. All the people he kills are those who fight against him, because they were told to. At the end, he killed the same amount of people as the "good" guy, but in a self defense.
3.The paralel between Lost and religions is very expressive. Because it tells us, that if you are non thinking simpleton, who does what he is told by total strangers without asking why, You are "good" and if you ask questions and want freedom, You are "evil".
If that's the case, I am on the "evil" side.
